Ozomatli to Debut Songs from New Children’s Album at GRAMMY Museum Concert

The GRAMMY Museum will bring Ozomatli’s Ozokidz show to the Clive Davis Theater on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11am – 12pm. The show, perfect for kids of all ages, will have the audience on their feet, dancing and singing along to the multicultural music that Ozomatli is famous for, but with a family twist! The celebrated Los Angeles musicians will play a special set from their upcoming children’s album, set for release in 2011.

The whole family can enjoy the entertainment, and for the first time ever, Los Angeles fans of Monster Jam will experience a massive collection of the world’s best monster trucks battling it out in the ultimate event of intense speed, racing and demolition at a Dodger Stadium show on Saturday, February 19, 2011. In addition to the world-class racing and freestyle competition action, die-hard fans can come to the stadium early to enjoy the Party in the Pits pre-show experience – which gives fans access to view their favorite trucks up-close, meet the star drivers for autographs and take photos!

This year’s truck lineup is showcased with appearances by Monster Jam powerhouses – the legendary GRAVE DIGGER®, GRAVE DIGGER LEGEND®. Several all-new Monster Jam trucks will be premiering for the 2011 season including SON UVA DIGGER (driven by Ryan Anderson, son of Grave Digger icon Dennis Anderson), DRAGON’S BREATH and MONSTER MUTT ROTTWEILER® plus the Southland debuts of SUPERMAN, AVENGER, BRUTUS and NITRO CIRCUS. Children’s 2011 GRAMMY Nominees to Perform at the Mint
Family Concert is Open to Public

Rock, bop and sing along with top children’s recording artists who are nominated for 2011 Grammy Awards. This is the third year that the Children’s Recording Arts Alliance has presented its Grammy children’s celebration concert for the public. In previous years, concerts featured Cathy & Marcy, Ziggy Marley, Buck Howdy, Greg & Steve and Brady Rymer among many others. For this year’s concert, the nominees are donating their performances, and all net ticket proceeds will benefit Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation.  Nominees confirmed to perform so far include JUSTIN ROBERTS, BILL HARLEY, THE BATTERSBY DUO, STEVE PULLARA with ORAN ETKIN and JUDY PANCOAST.

Chen Kuai Le Puppet Theater at Walt Disney Concert Hall Children’s Amphitheatre

Spend what’s expected to be a beautiful Saturday morning at the outdoor Children’s Amphitheatre at Disney Hall in downtown L.A. watching a free performance of Chen Kuai Le Puppet Theatre.  Directed by Taiwan’s leading female puppeteer, Shi-Mei Chiang, Chen Kuai Le Puppet Theater has devoted itself to the preservation of traditional arts and to the training of new generations of performers. The company, which includes Chiang’s son and grandson, is accompanied by live traditional Taiwanese music and uses masterful puppet-manipulation skills and vivid narratives to present this enchanting art form.
