    Junior high and high school students from around the Pasadena area showcase their talents at this annual youth musical. This year, a musical version of Cinderella will entertain the whole family. Enjoy the songs “In My Own Little Corner,” “A Lovely Night,” “Impossible,” and more. A live orchestra, under the direction of Thom Sharp, comprised of professional and student musicians, completes the show. Admission is FREE, but donations of peanut butter and canned tuna for the church social services office are greatly appreciated.

    Join the Greystone park rangers around an old-fashioned campfire and indulge in gooey s’mores and spooky stories at the historic Greystone Estate. A tour of the old, deserted mansion will follow the campfire activities. (Not recommended for children under 10 years of age. 10–16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.) The fun begins at 7:30 pm and runs $15/person (a minimum of ten people are required for this event to take place).

    The Hollow Trees are a “Folk Music for Families” group who use acoustic instrumentation and play upbeat Americana music.

    The Hollow Trees come from an imaginary coastal town somewhere between here and there called of Nelsonville, USA. They host a popular daily public acceess show on the local station, KTHT Nelsonville Public Access.

    The band is named after the Hollow Tree In the hills above Nelsonville is an Enchanted Forest, and in the middle of the Enchanted Forest, there’s a Magic Meadow, and in the middle of the Magic Meadow is the Hollow Tree.

    The festival commences at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and proceeds south on Main St., with three fully decorated, four-story chariots leading a colorful parade toward the Ocean Front Walk Plaza.
    The Festival of the Chariots includes a free feast for thousands, free entertainment and exhibits and booths all bringing together the finest in Indian culture. The festival celebrates Lord Jagannatha, the Lord of the Universe, and is put on by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The Festival of the Chariots is now performed in every country across the world and dates back thousands of years to Jagannatha Puri, India.
