Take a Tour of Movie Stars and Celebrities’ Homes

Tours of Movie Stars Homes in Hollywood

Why compete with the paparazzi on Robertson Blvd. or take your chances that today will be the day you’ll actually spot someone famous on Rodeo Drive, when you can be chauffeured like a celebrity on a celebrity tour. Starline Tours is the recommended choice for visitors who stay at the recently revived hotspot The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

More than 70 years in the business says a lot about Starline Tours. Offering more than 50 options to choose from, the Movie Star’s Homes Tour is still the most popular and best selling of the bunch. Their website lists a few of the residences and former residences of stars that may be included on the tour, and teases that there are “more stars’ homes, that cannot be revealed here…” Get up to $10 off on certain tours if you book online.

    Recess Monkey
    August 15 & 16
Find out why this tree-swinging trio of teachers-turned-rockers has the
world going ape for their music!

Vocalist/guitarist Andrew “Drew” Holloway, drummer/percussionist Daron
“The Dancing Bear” Henry, and bassist/pianist Jack “No Nickname” Forman
honed their craft playing for the toughest critics in the
biz—kindergartners. Their smooth, upbeat rock-pop sound, evoking
the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds, appeals to kids without
    driving parents nuts.

The teacherly trio strikes a balance between goofy and cerebral,
offering tunes about topics both light (putting on socks) and heavy
(dealing with frustration). Expect more fun than a barrel of monkeys at
    their interactive, sing-along performances.

    Trout Fishing in America
    August 22 & 23
The acoustic duo Trout Fishing in America possesses the uncanny ability
to create a full-bodied ensemble sound using only guitar and bass.
Perfectly paired musicians Keith Grimwood (standing 5′1″) and Ezra Idlet
(standing 6′9″) blend folk and pop with reggae, Latin, blues, jazz, and
classical to tell imaginative and heartfelt stories about the delights
    and dilemmas of growing up.

Back by popular demand at Garden Concerts for Kids, the charismatic duo
engage all ages with their wit and musicianship, creating “music for
people who take their fun seriously.”

    Justin Roberts
    August 29 & 30
One of the all-stars of the indie family music scene, Justin Roberts
and his bandmates—the Not Ready for Naptime Trio—dish out
intelligent and whimsically rocking music for kids and their parents.
He’s so good, he’s back at the Getty Center for his second encore!

Roberts’ catchy and sophisticated songs, and his ability to play in a
wide variety of styles, has earned him comparisons to artists like Paul
Simon and Elvis Costello. So get ready to sing along to catchy tunes
about bullies, butterflies, brontosauruses, and more!
