Rhythm Child is a real-life “Partridge family” group of musicians featuring songwriter/musician Norm Jones, (Dad) along with his two sons, 9-year-old Bailey and 3 ½ year Andre, who all perform on stage. Heather (Mom) is the business manager and family friend, Duane Neillson is a co-writer and guitarist.
Eat A Bowl of Cherries is Rhythm Child’s newest release and is currently up for Grammy consideration for “Best Musical Album For Children.” The CD features 10 high-energy memorable songs such as “Shaker Song,” “Sam the Lamb Blues,” “Riding On The Bus” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” among others. “Shaker Song” is currently available as a free download at www.rhythmchildnet. The single, “Bowl of Cherries” had a pre-release on Putumayo Kids latest CD release, Picnic Playground. The song has appeared ten consecutive weeks on Sirius/XM Kids “Kids Place Live” 13 Under 13 charts.
Eat A Bowl of Cherries CD is a follow-up to Rhythm Child’s 2003 multi-award winning debut Drum Circle Sing-A-Long, which garnered numerous awards including the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Grand Prize Award for “Jammy Put On,” a 2005 Children’s Music Web “Best Song” award for “Learn From Nature” and a 2004 Children’s Music “Best Song” Award for “Bird & The Dragon.” “Jammy Put On” also ranked in the XM Kids Radio Top 10 for 22 weeks.
