If the Victorian Era Funeral and its death and mourning etiquette are a bit too creepy of a subject matter for your little ones, take them to day two of the Festival on October 25 where kids age 2 – 12 are encouraged to come in costume, play period games, make 19th century harvest crafts and choose a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. The Heritage Square Museum is a living-history museum reflecting the settlement and development of Southern California from the Civil War to the early 20th century. On Oct. 24 and 25, from noon to 4 p.m., learn all about death and mourning etiquette during the Victorian era and participate in a funeral inside one of the museum’s historic homes.
