LA SANTA CECILIA was formed 2 1/2 years ago. Marisoul (vocals), Jose Carlos (accordion/requinto), Gloria Estrada (guitar), Alex Bendana (bass), Miguel Ramirez (percission), and Hugo Vargas (drums) had been working musician in and out of Los Angeles and decided to form an original group.

Currently, all members live in the Los Angeles area. Specifically: Silverlake, Boyle Heights, El Sereno, Korea Town, Downtown L.A. and Alhambra. La Santa Cecilia loves the diversity in culture, music, art, and food. We all live in different neighborhoods in Los Angeles and each one is unique and special. We feel very lucky to live in a city with such a rich diversity in culture.
