Special highlights and components of the fair include four stages featuring author panels and special guest speakers; three stages featuring live music, poetry, performances, storytelling, theater, readings, open mic; writing workshops and panel discussions; sponsor displays and special activities, including literary walking tours; interactive activities & hands-on projects for children; and Celebrity Chef Cooking Demonstrations, and a Farmers Market.

Focusing on children and their families, the LPVBF Childrens Village will reinforce a sub-theme, “Families Reading Together,” through a variety of interactive activities. Face painting, clowns, storytellers, a crafts pavilion and a special performance by Mayseo the Magician, will all be featured in the Childrens Village. In addition, Scribble Press from the Westside Pavilion will offer an opportunity for youth to write, create, and publish their own books on the spot.
