The town of Tonalá, Mexico has long been known for its pottery traditions, especially works ornamented with, or in the shape of, animals. These depict the nagual, animal spirit counterparts of humans. See the plates and pots on view in Intersections: World Arts, Local Lives and then create a mask reflecting your own spirit animal.
DIRECTIONS: Enter UCLA campus lot 4 from Sunset Blvd. at Westwood Plaza and turn left into the Pay-By-Space area of the lot. Pay-By-Space parking is always available for Fowler visitors, regardless of whether the lot 4 parking kiosk is staffed! Automated pay stations in Pay-By-Space accept $1 and $5 bills and credit cards. The parking fee is a maximum of $10. The Fowler is visible to your left when you ascend from the elevator or stairs (follow pedestrian walkways, indicated by arrows on the map below).
The Fowler is a nice walk from the UCLA Transit Center at Hilgard and Strathmore Avenues, where several public bus lines stop.
