Did you know that milk does NOT come from a super market? Cheese doesn’t either! And a fuzzy wool sweater begins its life on a sheep’s back, not in a department store. These and more amazing facts await as we explore life on the farm. Watch chicks hatch from eggs! Pat placid sheep and laugh at playful goats. Sit on a pig! Fry up bacon and eggs in the farm house kitchen. ‘Milk’ Holstein cow “Abigail” and then follow the journey that pail of milk takes as it is processed, packaged and delivered to the grocery store. Down on the farm you can:
-Learn the life cycle as you watch a tiny chick hatch
-Put on your rubber boots and get ready to play farmer
-Imagine you’re the farmer as you play with our miniature barn yard
-Learn how cheese is made from the milk of cows, goats and sheep
-Feel raw wool fibers and learn the process of making wool fabrics
